About
I’m a master’s student at the University of Cambridge (UK) doing a master’s in Advanced Computer Science. Last year, I graduated with a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brown University (USA).
Although I was, during my undergraduate years, interested in a variety of topics in Computer Science (from operating systems and cryptography to robotics and computer vision), I’m currently focused on research in machine learning. For my master’s thesis at Cambridge, I’m exploring the use of nlp techniques for measuring how “walkable” streets and neighborhoods are and using these assessments in a new path-finding framework.
My previous work experiences include internships at a US-based start-up (where I developed a cost-minimizing RAG system for a large-scale database), Lifespan & Brown University under the supervision of Dr. Zhicheng Jiao (where I worked on a transformer-based model for detection of aortic aneurysms), and at a Czech crypto-based lending marketplace start-up (where I worked on all sorts of things).
When I don’t work on my computer science projects, I enjoy reading books and art. I have also spent twelve years rowing on a competitive level. I was a member of the Czech National Team for four years, and was selected to the collegiate All-American team four times while studying in the US. Recently, I was very fortunate to win the 2025 Boat Race with Cambridge - my greatest rowing achievement to date.
